Made from a prompt
An AI assistant made each of these from one prompt, with Kinetic's skill installed. The prompt is shown as it was given, and nobody answered the assistant's questions or edited its work while it ran.
Kinetic is the studio, your AI is the crew
A studio gives its crew a stage, cameras, an editing suite and a house style, and the crew builds the set. Kinetic works the same way, and since a scene is a web page, the crew can build nearly anything the web can show.
| Kinetic gives you | Your AI builds | You bring |
|---|---|---|
| A stage where every frame comes out the same every time, a house style and a design method, transitions, sound on the beat, checks that every line stays on screen long enough to read, and rendering to MP4. The same page also runs as an interactive lesson. | The scenes, the charts, the 3D models, the simulations, and the code that reads your data. | The message, your data, your brand, and your assets. |
A year in review
Use Kinetic to make a 40-second year-in-review film for Fernway, a fictional bike-share company in three cities, opening its all-hands and leading its website's 2025 page. Make it the way a professional motion design studio hired for the job would: considered, polished, every frame worth pausing on, and something the company is proud to show. The figures are in
data.md: rides month by month, the three cities, the year's numbers, and two riders' quotes. The track ismusic.mp3in this folder (17.6 s, 114 BPM, 4 beats to a bar, the first downbeat 0.499 s in); cut to it where it plays. Rather than the default look, choose the font pairing and color palette you think suit this piece best.
We gave it the figures and the track. The AI chose a route line to carry the year, built every scene around it, and cut them to the beat. Kinetic plays the scenes and the music in step, checks every line stays on screen long enough to read, and renders it.
U.S. energy flows
Use Kinetic to make a 25-second animated Sankey diagram of the United States' energy flows in 2024: sources flowing through electricity generation and the four sectors (residential, commercial, industrial, transportation) to energy services and rejected energy. Draw the flows in source by source, then follow electricity: its inputs, and where its energy goes. Use the figures in
flows.md, and put the source URL and its credit line in the display. Rather than the default look, choose the font pairing and color palette you think suit this piece best.
We gave it the 2024 figures. The AI wrote them as a diagram for pele, an open-source diagram renderer, to lay out, then told the story in stages over it. Kinetic grows each band along its length, times the story, and checks every label stays on screen long enough to read.
A to-do app on a phone
Use Kinetic to make a 20-second product demo video for a to-do app, shown on a 3D iPhone mockup: the phone turns into view, a task is added, checked off, and the list reorders, with captions explaining each step.
The AI built the phone in three.js from scratch, and set a working HTML app on its screen. Kinetic and Trillium draw the 3D scene in step with the clock, so every frame comes out the same each time it is drawn.
How a neuron fires
Use Kinetic to create an interactive to teach me about how a neuron fires an action potential, with visualizations, interactive examples, and questions to test my understanding.
The AI wrote the steps and the questions, and computed the voltage from the Hodgkin-Huxley equations, the standard model of a firing neuron. Kinetic holds each step until the learner answers, and plays the same page straight through as a video.
